Basement Windows

Windows have the ability to make your basement appear more pleasing and boost safety. Large basement windows, sometimes referred to as "egress windows," from Pella of Kelowna are created to allow more light into underground rooms than the older, smaller, rectangular windows that are added above ground. They also offer a way out in case of an emergency.

The main difference between basement, or egress, windows and standard windows is that basement windows have to be made for an average-sized person to escape through in order to meet safety requirements set forth in building codes. You’re able to select from appropriately sized casement, sliding or double-hung windows when you install basement windows. Be sure you totally understand local building codes prior to purchasing basement windows.
